Description: WWII Era US Army M1905E1 Bayonet w/US M7 Scabbard for the M1 Garand Rifle - Marked: U.C. 1942 over Flaming Bomb - Original - Very NICE Condition Up for sale is WWII Era US Army M1905E1 Bayonet w/US M7 Style Scabbard for the M1 Garand Rifle. It is marked: U.C. 1942 over Flaming Bomb. It has a Spear point tip. This bayonet originally had a 16" blade, but was cut down to a 10" length during WWII as part of the program to standardize the M1 Bayonet. The blade is approximately 10" with black plastic grips. There is some surface pitting and a few tiny nicks near the tip of the blade, see photos. A few minor handling marks in the plastic grips panels. The right grip has a crack, see photo. The bayonet is used, see photo's for condition. No rust. No evidence of excessive sharpening. Very NICE Overall Condition. It has a US M7 Style Scabbard. The scabbard is unmarked. Normal handling marks on the scabbard. No cracks or breaks in the body of the scabbard. This bayonet will fit the the following rifles: M1903 or M1903A3 Springfield or the M1 Garand Rifles.
