Description: Here we have a beautiful WWII red marked AAF mid war parachute harness for a front attached chest parachute. These were commonly used by AAF crews on bombers through a lot of WWII. This is a righteous example that looks like it saw combat. The hooks are worn which would suggest a parachute harness was attached to it quite a bit. This harness may be identifiable as it has a laundry stamped on the back pad. The straps are dated July 1943 making this a rather early set. This is a must have for any serious AAF collector and these are getting really hard to find. I usually only see one or two like this a year. Really rare to see one with the red markings or hasn’t been altered from its original state. This is a beautiful harness and is missing nothing. All the hooks work and it fits on a smaller mannequin.
