Stunning new old stock, supple, flexible, no cracking, no corrosion, no damage. Beautiful. These hearken back to the old days of surplus. Days when gear was crisp and had that familiar pungent smell. To that extent, I have acquired a small supply of these and as they say, there is opportunity in everything, this is your opportunity to complete your helmet. Near impossible to upgrade and cheaper than many alternatives. Why buy a reproduction for $30 when you can have these? These were produced in the late 50s for the last runs of US M1 helmets that had leather chinstraps. They are identical in construction and style to the late WW2 ones.
