Piece is double sided silk with beautiful rich vibrant dye colors throughout. Bavarian Coat of arms centered on one side with magnificent refined details comprised of bullion embroidery throughout with plush red woven cotton grand drapes affixed complimentary bullion wire tassels, and a superb gem encrusted and sequin laid Bavarian crown atop. Piece has wonderful textured and layered bullion embroidery throughout giving this piece a superb multilayered visuals from any angel. Obverse, stands the Iconic Prussian Germania proudly glorying the Imperial crown which is encrusted with sequins and wire embroidery. Germania is surrounded by a superb lush boarder of laurel wreaths very symbolic and typical of the period.Comes complete with original bronze cast shield plaque detailing the Bavarian Coat of arms and landscape/Rhineland scene atop.
