Description: Wm L Gilbert Winstead, CT. Mantle Clock "Thor Extra" Lions heads with nose rings on sides, Parts or Repair 1871-1900. The glass cover is detached and the glass is loose as the 3 metal tabs that hold the glass have gone missing. Could not identify is the glass is original or not. The company label is on the bottom and in good condition. The direction label on the rear is very worn and nearly unreadable. There is also the original key and its replacement, plus the pendulum weight and a second gong hammer. If the hammer was removed from the clock, then the chime rod is missing. The label is present on the bottom of the clock. The clock has missing paint and has been neglected. A tape on the bottom states that it was purchased 1895 by Howard Shack. However there is a faint name and an1889 date on the rear, upper, left corner. We did not wind the clock or test the movement. No cleaning was done. This item is for repair or parts, AS IS, NO return. We are book people and clocks are not our forte. Could not find a clock on Ebay like this model and an internet query did not turn up any information except about the company. Shipping information: 20"L x 15"W x 10"H, at 13.0 lb.
