Description: 1940s-1950s Vintage WFL Ludwig Drums 12"x17" Super Classic Parade Drum - Tenor Floor Tom - White Marine Pearl - RARE!3-ply Mahogany, Nickel Over Brass 8 lug Rare vintage 1940s-1950s WFL/Ludwig 12"x17" Super Classic Parade Tenor Floor Tom in White Marine Pearl wrap in good condition for its age! This was originally a tenor parade (marching) tom which was later converted into a floor tom with additional leg brackets installed and carrier mount removed leaving empty screw holes (see pics). Features a 3-ply mahogany shell, original vintage WLF Drums/Ludwig Drums badge, and original nickel over brass 8-lug hoops with matching hardware. Note that ten of the washers are brand new Canopus chrome over brass, and two of the bottom tension rods are brand new Ross chrome plated steel. Two of the original rods (which would not thread properly) and extra new nickel-over-brass washers are include for you. Tom has cosmetic wear and blemishes on outside consistent with its age, and wrap is slightly cracked underneath one of the leg mounts (see pics), but shell itself is in really good condition. Fitted with a slightly used 17" Remo Renaissance Emperor 2 Ply tenor tom head with plenty of life left in it and a brand new Remo Clear Ambassador resonant head which I special ordered from Remo and just received and installed. Drum has a deep, full resonant tone with cool overtones and sounds great both live and recorded.A unique collector's addition to any vibey jazz, soul, fusion, R&B or rock kit!
