Description: VTG Sterling Turquoise Nugget Watch Band Cuff Bracelet Large Heavy Gauge Navajo This is a magnificent watch band cuff bracelet with a heavy gauge sterling silver base. On either side of the time piece, a large nugget-finished turquoise stone has been set in a scalloped, hand-formed bezel. Both stones have depth to them, giving the watch band an obvious three-dimensional appearance. At both ends, a handmade leaf has been appliqued to the base, along with a hand-formed flower and curled flat wire. The different components to the watch band and their techniques give this watch band a date of the 1960s or early 1970s. It is clearly of Navajo design and construction. The band is 1 3/8" wide. The watch face area is about 1 1/2" long and 1" wide. The turquoise stones are 7/8" by 7/16" by 1/4" deep, and 3/4" by 3/8" by 3/16" deep. The inner circumference is 5 3/4" with an additional wrist gap of 1 1/2". It will fit up to a 7 1/4" wrist. It weighs a significant 80 g. Please measure your wrist twice and know your size BEFORE purchasing this bracelet. Because there are stones set in this bracelet, opening it up by hand could crack the silver or loosen a stone. The same things can happen if you squeeze the bracelet too hard to make it smaller.
