Description: Vintage antique compact made of gold plated 800 silver that is inlaid with hand painted enamel with exquisite detail. The enamel depicts an 18th century classical courting lovers couple in the Fragonard style. This vintage enamel compact is of Italian origin and was made sometime between the 1920s and the 1950s. The compact measures 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" by 3/8". It is in very good condition, the mirror has no noted scratching, and includes the screen and a puff labeled "Made in France" with powder to remain for authenticity. There is some patina to the gold plating that may be polished or left as is. This is a lovely vintage enamel compact - beautiful quality.
