Lots of military in the pic by unknown photographer lots of flags and bunting standing in back are some French officers and other dignitaries. Can't find much info on the Iron Battalion. The Boston City Club was was founded in 1904. Its founders included Louis D. Brandeis, founder of Brandeis University, and Edward Filene, founder of Filene's Department Stores (now part of Macy's). The building they occupied was at Ashburton Place and still standing today. Photo measures approx. 15 x 9". Couple of indiscernible pencil markings on back.
