Description: For your consideration, I am selling this unique, original, and very rare weathervane used on KFC restaurants in the late 60s and 70s. The weathervane was retired from a KFC in Washington State about 40 years ago. It has sat in dry storage ever since. One side looks almost perfect as the other has slight signs of a haze. It might scrub clean, but I did not want to do any cleaning or restoration to the piece as there are collectors out there that prefer it to show partially weathered. I took close up shots of any small dings. There are about 3-4 small dings about the size of a dime. This would be an easy candidate for a complete restoration, or leave it as is for display. From a top of the Colonel to the bottom of the vane the complete sign measures 62.5" tall. The cane sticks out about 24". Excluding the cane, the sign is about 24" wide and less than 2" in depth. The directional base is about 37" between each letter. The sign is made of tin and steel. This is an absolute must have for any sign collector. There are very few of these out there as many did not survive the elements. They hardly ever come up available for sale This will be well bubble wrapped and shipped via FedEx Ground. It will be shipped out in 2 separate boxes. I will include insurance and signature delivery on both packages. Feel free to ask any questions and thank you for your interest.
