Description: Vintage Original Signed Pen Ink of Delft Harbor which is near the outskirts of Rotterdam and the entrance to the town of Delft by the Dutch artist Eugene Rensberg. He was born in the Hague in 1872 and died in 1956. He was a friend of my Dutch Grandparents and must have spent Christmas 1943 with them. This drawing was likely a gift to my grandmother Antonia "Ton" Schoonheim- Dupont on that day where despite the war torn Netherlands being occupied by the Nazis during the last years of WWII, my grandparents chose to celebrate Christmas with their family and closest friends. Since I discovered this and one other of his amazing drawings amongst my grandparents belongings after they died in the 70's, there is no possibility of any copies or prints being made which makes this a rare one of a kind drawing. I've kept it safely stored away since then and only recently decided to mat and frame this lovely sketch and offer it for sale. Eugene Rensberg has had much of his art, primarily oils, put up for auction. The highest price I was able to research for one of his oil paintings was $6,000. This being but a small sketch, albeit a signed original calls for a much lower price as you've seen...
