Description: Offered for sale is an 8 ¾-inch-tall medicine embossed with “Hood's / Sarsa / parilla //C.I. Hood & Co. // Lowell, Mass.” Embossed 4 on the bottom. It has a double collar applied top, a beautiful aqua color, and a post-mold base. There are no chips, cracks, or bruises. Glass is clean and embossing is strong. These are generally common bottles, but most have tooled tops dating to the 1890's. This one has an applied top dating at least to the 1880's and possibly 1870's. A very nice early Hoods in great condition!
