ITEM DETAILS: Vintage Bulgari Earrings Monete Ancient Coins Gold Ruby A pair of vintage Bulgari Monete 18k gold earrings featuring ancient coins and rubies. The silvercoin is bezel-set in a double gold frame, with a cabochon ruby positioned at the bottom. Asstamped on the backside, the coin is circa 5th - 4th century B.C., Thracia Mesembria. It’s anancient Greek silver coin from Thrace, Mesembria. The design features a crested Corinthianhelmet on the obverse and a four-spoked wheel symbol on the reverse.Bulgari started their ancient coin collection called Monete in the 1960s. The maker treated coinslike precious gems, setting them in various designs. Ancient Greek and Roman coins permeatethese pieces with history and beauty.
