The orange/black one has a battery compartment, I put batteries in him but he didn’t make noise or light up. My batteries may be old, but for that reason he is sold in non-working condition. Both of the dinosaurs kick forward motion work. They stand just under 10” as posed. ***Please note, the dinosaurs only stand on their own when put it foot-forward position, while resting on their arms, as pictured.***
