Description: This 1960 Norfolk, Virginia road map was issued by Standard Oil Co. (Esso). This map is in excellent original condition as shown in the photo and came from the General Drafting Map Company archives. The map has a 1959 copyright and a legend date of January 1959. However, the map date code is “P660-A5” indicating that it was printed in June of 1960 and the archival envelope that it was stored in is dated 1960. If there is a stamp or writing on the top of the front cover, it was put there by the General Drafting Company since this map is from their archival files.I was fortunate to locate and buy several boxes of archival maps from the General Drafting Map Company after they were bought out by Langenscheidt and absorbed into the American Map Company. There is a wide variety of maps types and all are like new. Over the next few years, I will be offering many of these here on eBay.Shipping within the United States will be by First Class Postage.
