Description: This vintage 1950's Rushton Co Zip/Zippy The Chimpanzee stuffed animal is a rare find for collectors of vintage toys. With a medium size, this plush toy has a rubber face surrounded with fluffy plush, and an adorable outfit. Zippy was a character featured on Howdy Doody from the 1950’s era. This adorable plush has his original yellow ZIP shirt - though it has been well loved & has a small stain mark. I have NOT attempted to wash Zippy OR his outfit for fear of harming them! The overalls are adorable and fit perfectly, but I do not believe they are original. His shoes are permanently attached and are marked Rushton Co on the bottom (shown in photos). He measures roughly 16 inches tall. We did not find any tears/holes or major issues with Zippy. He could absolutely use some TLC & someone who can refresh him - but he is perfectly fine to be loved as is as well! He does not have any offensive smells or odors.
