Description: In this auction, I am selling a lot of six vintage celluloid kewpie dolls in varying sizes and conditions. All have string jointed arms and immobile legs. The tallest doll is 7 inches and is wearing a tan lace dress and hat and has a necklace and one earring. She shows signs of her age. "Japan" is printed on the bottom of her feet. The second doll is 6 inches tall. She is wearing a red flapper dress with a white belt at the hips and a long pearl necklace. She is in excellent condition. The next doll is 5 inches tall, wearing a necklace and a single earring, some of her original feathers, a metallic pointed hat, and red painted on shoes. Of the six dolls, this one is in the worst condition. The bride and groom dolls are 4 inches tall and in excellent condition. They are wearing crepe wedding clothes. I inherited these two from a family friend whose wedding cake they graced in the mid-1930s. The last doll is black, 2.5 inches tall, and wearing a painted on red sweater.
