The Tri-Pump is the big brother to Vector's single-flameMegapump, both of which are inspired by the look of an old-fashioned oil lamp. Standing a little taller than five inches, the Tri-Pump's unique design is curiously attractive and sure to catch the eye of onlookers. When its three torch flames are lit, the lighter resembles a blowtorch, giving the Tri-Pump a certainje ne sais quoi. Constructed entirely out of metal, the Tri-Pump sports a large butane reserve (but unfortunately no fuel window) that the company says is good for 180 to 200 lights that last 10 to 15 seconds. A sturdy grip places your thumb in the perfect spot to push the wheel ignition that controls the three torch flames. Under the base is a handy fuel-adjustment valve, and we found the Tri-Pump worked best when it was turned to either three-quarters or fully open.
