Description: This listing is for a total of 35 soprano saxophone reeds, strength 4. They are all new and in unopened boxes. The reeds are what we call "new old stock" or NOS. The Vandoren box has ten reeds and the Rico box has 25 reeds. I originally bought these when I first got a soprano sax with the idea that I would eventually use stronger reeds than I normally used. I used 2 1/2 strength and never really went beyond that, so these reeds sat in my drawer for several years. I realize that I will never use them, so I'm listing them so someone else can use them. Although I've not opened the boxes, I have full confidence that they will be wonderful. If you like to work on your reeds, these should be ideal for you! Older reeds are supposed to work well because the cane is fully aged. My college clarinet/Saxophone professor told me that great players often buy their reeds about ten years ahead of when they actually use them. I've had great luck with older reeds like these in the listing. This is an amazing price for you.
