Description: Up for sale is a Very Rare, SIGNED/INSCRIBED, TRUE First Edition/First Printing of Under The Banner Of Heaven by Jon Krakauer. A Story of Violent Faith. A Brilliant Bestseller and Basis for the New, Hit Television Show!! SIGNED/INSCRIBED, TRUE First Editions of this Title by the Critically Acclaimed Author of Into The Wild are Scarce and Becoming Increasingly Hard to Find!! Hardcover with its original, First State dust jacket, NOT price-clipped! Original price of $24.95. Published by Doubleday: New York, 2003. Boldly SIGNED/INSCRIBED by the celebrated author! SIGNED/INSCRIBED on the title page by the great Jon Krakauer! A TRUE First American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present! This rare treasure has some VERY clearly visible wear, but when considering its' scarcity and desirability, is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear, however, is considerable and should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and other some partially erased pencil marks on one page. has no internal writing, no internal foxing, no remainder marks and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding feels shaky/loose but is still holding tight. All of the pages are present, fully attached and still surprisingly crisp and clean. Some general/shelf wear along with some partially erased pencil marks on one page, creases/scuffing/marks/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, marks/wear to the edge/fore pages and creases/wear to the pages, NOT affecting the text, varying in size and severity and particularly noticeable on certain pages. As mentioned before, the binding feels shaky/loose and the book should be handled with care. All of the wear previously mentioned is considerable and very clearly visible! All of the wear should be carefully examined/considered. In our opinion, the most unfortunate wear affects the first page, the page with the map. The upper section of the page has been cut out and is no longer present! For some inexplicable reason, a portion of the page, near the top edge, has been excised. Once more, we want to repeat that some of this page has been cut out and is no longer present. We closely photographed the page, (the missing piece/wear), for your consideration. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped but has extensive wear! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, marks and rips. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges! The wear, particularly near/along the edges and on the spine, is substantial and very clearly visible! All of the wear should be carefully examined/considered. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book. Our VERY LOW asking price is a reflection of that consideration and if this copy was in better condition our asking price would be considerably higher. We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear. Once again, we want to reiterate that the wear to both the book and the dust jacket is considerable and VERY clearly visible! All of the wear should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. Numerous photographs from various angles were taken for your consideration/inspection. Please closely and carefully view ALL the pictures for further clarification!! Payment must be received within three days or the book will be re-listed. Please feel free to contact us with any and all questions. We are very proud of our 100% positive feedback/ranking and offer an easy, no questions asked return policy so you can buy with confidence! Thank you!!
