Description: This is a custom 12" figure of fictional western TV character, Lucas McCain from the tv show "The Rifleman". The Rifleman ran from September 30th 1958 to April 8th 1963. The series took place in the 1870's and 1880's in the town of North Fork, New Mexico Territory. This series was one of the first prime time shows to feature a widowed parent raising a child. Lucas McCain (played by Chuck Connors) and his young son Mark (played by Johnny Crawford) came to North Fork from the Oklahoma territory after his wife died. The title came from Lucas McCain's proficiency with his large loop cocking lever action Winchester rifle. McCain could rapidly fire his rifle with deadly accuracy by working the lever instead of pulling the trigger. this tv show had some great family episodes as Luke raised his son Mark in the old West. Luke would sometimes help his friend Micah Torrance (played by Paul Fix) the town Marshal. This was one of the coolest shows on tv when it was on. you can sometimes find this series on dvd or channels that run old westerns or tv series. While this figure does not look exactly like the character or the actor, there is a bit of a resemblance. the metal rifle is from stevos. This figure is not quite as poseable as some of my figures but displays well. sold as is. I started customizing figures a few years back because I couldn't find more than a handful of "official" releases and unable to find figures of people I wanted to collect. I checked into the market of custom figures. Most of the custom figures available back then cost several hundred dollars, so, I started doing my own.
