Description: For sale is an issue of The Adventurer, the newsletter magazine published by LucasArts back in the 90s. This is Number 5 from 1992, featuring Day of the Tentacle on the cover! The issue is also full of developer interviews as well as fun inserts such as a Sam & Max comic and pages of LucasArts / Lucasfilm merch in the Company Store section. The issue is fully complete, with no torn or missing pages. However, it is pretty cosmetically-challenged compared to others I've seen, as the newsprint it was printed on has heavily yellowed and discolored from age. I recently dug this out of storage and was determined to salvage it, so I unfolded it page by page and soaked each sheet in a solution of bleach and water before allowing them to air dry on a rack. ( No, seriously - see the included photos from my workshop as proof!! ) After everything dried, I found that the pages only lightened up a little bit, unfortunately. The process also had the side-effect of leaving the pages looking a little "speckled," as you can see in the close-up photos. On the plus side, all the pages are now super clean and sanitized! The cleaning process also brightened up the color photos and art a bit, and all of the inside text is still clean and sharp - and definitely still readable. The paper is also still holding together very well. Definitely not a collector's item, but if you're just looking for a copy of this issue to make your vintage LucasArts game complete, you could do a lot worse! The issue will ship folded-up along its original creases, as shown in one of the last photos. Check the photos for the actual item up for sale!
