Sauron: The Battle for the Ring delves deep into the Tolkien mythos to recreate the epic struggle that took place before the very gates of Mordor toward the close of the Second Age. Represented by 100 playing pieces, the Elven and Numenorean armies of the legendary Elendil and Gil-Galad take on the mighty host of the wizard Sauron. The conflict blazes across the map that features all of the terrain of the famous battlefield. This is the battle that preceded the Siege of BaradDur, wherein the One Right was wrested from the very hand of its maker, only to be lost until its rediscovery in the Third Age.
