It is 100% Aluminum Factory losandy dovetail, condition lightly used. The Tripod is used, the eq6r is like new in the original box I do not have anything to put the tripod in it's a very big tripod it's an upgrade from the eq6r tripod (although they both use 2-in stainless steel legs.) Because the AZ eq6 is larger than the eq6r people often upgrade the tripod the pictures the last three pictures are eq6rs with upgraded tripods. the German Berlebach, large high quality wooden tripods are a favorite also. This is a skywatcher AZ eq6 Pro Mount with the larger Mead giant field tripod with the Omega solid aluminum EQ6 adapter. This AZ eq6 came to me like they all do.. Because people don't understand that tightening the RA axis is backwards than what would be intuitive.. and so they break the little handle which, on this one, has already been removed and replaced. I'm an actual astronomer and Telescope builder. unlike the other resellers on here that have a z eq6's 4 sale. So these are the heftiest mounts you can get short of an Eq8 and it's designed to hold two ota's at the same time in alti-azimuth mode. it also works great in Equatorial mode they're very versatile, kinda expensive but they've got a lot of great design. the only bad design is the choice to make the right Ascension tightening turn the wrong direction :-) . But I think they're on the other side of Earth maybe that has something to do with it. I'm having the black parts of the Mead tripod professionally painted white .. One of the drawbacks here is I just don't have a box big enough for the giant tripod so local pickup is preferred, unless you don't need a tripod. ( we had a blizzard here pretty much and had to take pictures inside ) He painted the black Tripod parts White ( In Aircraft Grade Urethane)... so that tripod will match the AZ eq6 in color. I DO NOT LIKE THE RED KNOBS. It'll come with both black and red knobs your choice what you want to put on it .. but they're the same knobs, only black & red.. Comes with two correct 11 lb brand new counterweights. FYI- these are different Weights than a standard eq6r uses. The eq6r has about a 3/4 in shaft ( hole) the larger AZ eq6r has 1 in diameter shaft . Any questions, just ask! Clear Skies
