Description: This is a rare battery operated (1 "C" cell) Seiko tuning fork flip alarm clock. This clock utilizes a tuning fork for its time source. This clock is from the 70s before the introduction of crystal controlled digital time pieces. This clock uses the same principals for time keeping that the Accutron watches use. Minimal surface scratches with no breaks in the plastic case. Full disclosure: The clock will operate for a few minutes to a few hours before stopping. The original battery cover is missing and a brass replacement was made. The movement was removed from the case to show the mechanism. The tuning fork is the "H" shape metal piece. There is an adjustment screw to make minor adjustments in the time. The 10 second video show the mechanism working. This clock rarely shows up on eBay.
