Description: For sale is this excellent reproduction US Army Assault Vest as worn during the D-Day operations of World War II. This style of vest was a last minute issue item to the first wave assault troops of the 1st, 4th, and 29th Infantry Divisions as well as the 2nd Ranger Battalion for the June 6, 1944 invasion in Normandy. This vest was made by At The Front in the USA and is a very accurate copy of the originals. It features a khaki OD3 color shell and pockets with mismatched OD3 straps and binding tape. The vest is marked as a Size LARGE but is very adjustable, fitting anywhere from a 40 to a 46 inch chest I would think. I have a 41 inch chest and I have the straps pulled fairly tightly to fit me.
