This is a Vintage, GORGEOUS (& definitely RARE!) 1998 NY Islanders "Transition" Trevor Linden Captain's Jersey (& to my knowledge) Never Worn!! It is a Full Blown Professionally Stitched "Authentic On Ice Game Jersey" w/ Backside "Fight Strap" - Simply put, the overall "aesthetic" of this jersey is just off the charts! - And, It Is In FANTASTIC CONDITION! It was purchased in 1998 & is AN ORIGINAL TRANSITION JERSEY! - It's a 27 year old jersey, & LITERALLY, it looks like you could hang it up right now for sale in the Islander store! It's a size "54" which is an XL It was actually discussed whether or not to even sell this (because it is that nice!). It's really one of the nicest (& most unique) Islander jerseys to ever come out, & this particular jersey was kept in EXCELLENT condition throughout the years! Known as a “Transition Jersey” because it was the FIRST & ONLY jersey in Islanders history to have the Classic Original Islanders Crest Logo (paired with) The Lighthouse Uniform Design in order to “transition” the Islanders uniform (& overall look) from the Fisherman Lighthouse Design (back to) The Islanders' Original Classic Uniform Design from the Dynasty Era - Just check out the pics & see for yourself, this jersey is nothing short of STUNNING! - BUY IT NOW!! :) **I even purchased a special box to ship this jersey in: a 20x20 box so the numbers & logo won't bend or fold during shipping! Obviously I can't make any guarantees, but I believe these might easily come out with some water, or perhaps maybe a stain remover of some kind, but of course that would be your call if you wanted to try. This was simply pointed out & added to the listing once it was noticed (for complete transparency of this sale).
