Description: Rare resin model kit of a Toy Fair prototype model, nicknamed 'Robertosaurus Rex', (named after the client) or 'R-Rex'. Originally commissioned by The Art Asylum for a proposed Jurassic Park 4 action figure line, the series was never produced. This 'badass t-rex on steroids' dinosaur-hybrid was designed to be a cross between tyrannosaurus rex, and velociraptor. It predated by over a decade the 'indominus rex' that would later feature in the reboot Jurassic World. Sculpted by renowned figurine sculptor Joe Laudati, the casting includes rocky base (not pictured) signed by artist. Comes in 9 ready-to-assemble resin parts. Paints and adhesive not included. Completed figure stands 6.5" tall, and would be 16" long if tail were outstretched. Note: This is for advanced modelers. Some skill required in assembling and painting resin models.
