Educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen 1887-88 and by Leon Bonnat in Paris. Lived in Finland 1902-18, in Denmark afterwards. Many trips to France, Switzerland and Norway. Regular exhibitions in Denmark since 1920. Exhibited also in Finland and in Paris.Painted in a strong nordic tradition, despite his stay at Bonnat's School in Paris.
