Description: Have you ever seen let alone bowled Rubber Band Duck Pins before? If you haven’t you have no idea what fun you’re missing. Rubber Band Duck Pin bowling originated in the Northeastern part of the U.S, primarily in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland’s coal fields from around the 1930’s until the middle 70’s when ten pins became more prevalent with automatic pin spotters. This was a sport the weary coal miners did to relax, instead of heaving a 16 lb. ten pin bowling ball. However it was harder than it looked. Back then, the pins were spotted by pin boys who manually stepped in a lever and aligned the pins with steel spikes that came up from the lane and set the pins that had holes in the bottom. I only have a few original ones left from the 50’s and am selling them individually. Also, if you’re the buyer of the pin, I’ll include a original used Rubber Band Duck Pin 8 lb. Bowling Ball as a special bonus. If you’re into the history of bowling or a trivial collector, this collectible is a must have. Thank you for stopping by.
