Placed into service in 1954, over 6300 were produced, and they saw front line service until the mid-1960s until finally being replaced by the redoubtable M113. Even then, M59s could be found in Guard and reserve units until the early 1980s. A Mechanized Infantry company of M59s consisted of 2 in HQ platoon, 1 in maintenance section, 3 platoons of 4 M59s each, and 3 M54 mortar carriers. A 1/87 scale model of this apc has long been missing from wargaming tables, and HO scale model railroad layouts. An exclusive offering found only here! These have been base painted US olive drab, ready for decals or detail painting. You can comb the internet, but you'll never find another like this! Note that these are 3d resin printed on a Phrozen Sonic Mighty, so minimal to no print lines! There may be some minor flash or artifacts from printing, but generally these are easily removed with minimal sanding or an Xacto blade.
