The dial ring fits inside the bezel on top of the glass. The purpose of the dial ring is to hide the outer edges of the dial when viewed from the front of the clock. This is used in the better clocks.Brass dial ring outside diameter is 12 1/4 inch. Inside diameter is 11 5/8 inch. It is about 1/2 inch thick.53 gm in weight without packaging.
