All functions are working properly; Auto-Focus, Manual Focus and Zoom. Aperture blade are oil free and snappy. This model lens has an inherent weakness: the zoom linkage is weak. If you slam the zoom against the end of the zooming range, a tab on one of the barrels could break. That tab is not broken in this lens. But protect you lens by turning the zoom gently. Look on EBAY and you will see many examples of this lens that do not zoom.
