PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE BUYING This is a BRAND NEW Mainspring specifically made for Victor Talking Machines and Victrolas. Specifications are shown above. Note that the spring length is 13 feet. This spring can be safely used in machines that require a spring length of about 12 to 15 feet or so. NOTE: If your machine requires a spring shorter than 12 feet (e.g. some use 9 to 9-1/2 feet) do NOT buy this one. The torque necessary to fully wind a longer spring is too high for some earlier direct wind and indirect wind Talking Machine and Victrola motors. ASK questions BEFORE you buy. Please, please, please consider sending pictures of your motor, the Model Number and Serial Number when you ask questions. A picture of the outside of your machine might be pretty but it is not useful to be able to help you with the *motor*. If you send measurements please be accurate. The language of "approximation" just won't help me to help you. Don't know how to calculate the length of a wound spring? ASK! I do not mass produce mainsprings, but from time to time I make them for my in-house work. This time I have a few extras to sell. I know how hard it is to get new mainsprings and that is why I make some of my own. BEFORE you buy this you must look at your old spring. You just gotta do this! I suggest disassembling your motor and actually removing the old spring(s) BEFORE you buy a new one so that you are certain what you have and what you therefore need. Even though there is a ton of data compiled and published about mainspring dimensions and applications that is usually accurate there are variations that break the rules. I don't want the headaches and neither do you. So it is imperative that you *actually look* in your spring barrel(s) to determine exactly what you need. Help keep the process simple. I do not accept returns on mainsprings under any condition. Buy with care.
