Description: LONG WAVE UV Very interesting specimen of yellow botryoidal Mimetite on Quartz and Barite? This piece was part of an old collection I bought last year and had no label or info other than the flat it was in said "Mexico" I am not sure of the Barite ID as it could be Gypsum based on its appearance or something else.., it has a bladed crystal habit in most areas and is a coating on tiny Quartz crystal conglomerations..I may have a closer look soon and try to nail it down.
