Description: Hi, You will fall in love with this adorable Goebel Hummel figurine. They are made out of porcelain with AMAZING detail and range in various sizes. My great aunt collected these figurines and she needs a good home for them. She started collecting them from the beginning of time and has a lot, so needs to thin some out; therefore, I am selling some of them. “Hummels” were first introduced when sketches drawn by Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel began to appear in the 1930’s in both Germany and Switzerland of drawings she would sketch of children, which were put on post cards after her death. These caught the eye of Franz Goebel, which acquired the rights to turn Hummel’s drawings into figurines. The first line was produced in 1935. They are still in production today. This Hummel figurine is called: Practice Makes Perfect, Boy Number: Hum 771/2/0 Trademark: TMK-8 OE Goebel~Germany~2004 Size: 3-1/4” This figurine was first issued in 2005, with a 2004 copy right date. The Hummel signature is inscribed across the back of the piece. There is a black base in which the little boy sits with his legs together playing an accordion. The counter-part for this figurine is Practice Makes Perfect, Girl (2223) (which I also have listed). You are getting exactly what you see in the pictures. There are NO chips, cracks, marks or wear on this piece, it is in EXCELLENT condition! There is NO Box for this ADORABLE figurine.
