Description: A nice WWI era 2-sided cotton or linen flag for the home front to designate a son or other family member in service. It is unusually large at 3 by 5 feet and has 2 brass grommets. It has a partial makers mark "UANCE BRAND" and "3 X 5" on the edge. There also appears to be a printed Date "Nov. 6, 1917" but, it is small and very faint. The condition is very good with no holes, tight stitching and minor wear and stains.
