Description: Lot of 33 antique Victorian calling cards. There are 13 sets of doubles (names are the same but the designs are different. Some of the names are written in calligraphy (fancy!) There are flowers, butterflies, lighthouse, sailing, cupid, fruits, birds, books, a winter scene. The one that caught my eye is "Wm. B. Chane - he has one of the cupids on one of his cards but with the word HOPE printed above his name. I think he was definitely hoping for love from whomever he gave his card to :) A few of the calling cards are a bitter bigger than the others. Can you imagine the stories that go with these cards??? Really cool ephemera collectibles!
