Gibson Les Paul Standard and Traditional models usually come with SAE 8-32 threaded switches. The Ni57 switch tip WILL NOT fit Epiphone Les Pauls with metric thread switches; some Gibson Studio and Tribute models use a metric toggle switch as well—metric M4x0.7 and SAE 8-32 are the same diameter but have a different thread pitch. THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. I got this pack of nuts, in photo #8, Home Depot for $1.18. Unscrew your switch tip and try to thread the nut onto your switch. There are only three types of threads you will find: SAE 8-32 will be the correct diameter and will thread all of the way on. This is the correct with tip. Order the Ni57 from this listing! 4M x 0.7 Metric will be the correct diameter, but will NOT thread onto the switch—DO NOT force it. This is the wrong switch tip. Order the Ni58 from this other Ebay listing: Ni58 Punk Rock Spike, Les Paul Style, Nickel Switch Tip (4M x 0.7 Metric) 3.5M x 0.6 Metric will be a smaller diameter and will slide down the shaft. I DO NOT have a switch tip that fits this thread style, so do not purchase from either of the listings. Purchasing a pack of nuts is certainly inconvenient and will cost an extra dollar or so, but it’s better than purchasing an incorrect switch tip. This switch tip will come with a removable 1/4”Diameter x 1/8”Length aluminum spacer—to be used if your particular switch has a higher rim/nut or lower threads. The spacer looks cool with this switch, but can be omitted if the bottom of the switch tip clears the rim/nut.
