Description: Schafer and Vater Jasperware Hair Receiver in Sage Green bisque Porcelain with White Floral and ornate trim. Made in Germany. This jasperware hair receiver is believed to have been made by Schafer and Vater. The Schafer and Vater company was located at Volkstedt Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany, originating in 1896. The bisque porcelain is sage green, with a deeper tone on the lid than the base. The lid is further adorned with white relief flowers and scrolled curlicues, with a sculpted opening in the center, framed in white trim. The flowers around the base are not whitened and so the lid and jar contrast nicely. Both lid and base are marked No 2529. Dimensions are 3 1/2 in diameter x 2 inches tall and the condition is excellent, with no chips or cracks. Thanks for looking.
