This set was released in subscription form, so you would remit payment each month to acquire more cards for the set. The back is filled with a 300 or so word write-up in English including great facts about the subject featured on the front. This is an original 1970s card NOT a reprint. This is card # 18-23 in the set. The story on the back is titled: Wealthy Black Fights Slavery. The caption below is found at the bottom of the card back and explains the picture shown on the card front: Illustration: Soldier, sailmaker, businessman and champion of Black Rights.
