Description: Store Item: Jacob Cope Chippendale Pennsylvania Tall Case Grandfather Clock circa 1800s Description: Clock made by known early American Pennsylvania clockmaker Jacob Cope. Case made from walnut. Clock features open pediment with two carved scrolls with three flame shaped finials on the top of the hood with early glass. The dial features painted sea shell designs in each corner with date dial with Arabic numbers and moon phase dial with moon and ship painting and sweep second hand. Case features rectangular clockbead waist door, resting on bracket feet. Pendulum is engraved with Jacob Cope #293 which represents that the clock was the 293 clock he made. Comes with original pendulum, two weights and crank winder. Condition Report: Clock has not been tested, we do not guarantee the working condition of clocks and highly recommend having a professional service the clock and set up the clock before usage. Case has scuffs, chips scratches, wear and signs of refinishing as expected with age and usage, but shows beautifully.
