Their decorative picture scrolls are beautifully crafted with unmatched colors and depth. ◆ Ito Jakuchu ◆ Jakuchu Ito, Edo period, Sano City Yoshizawa Memorial Museum of Art Sai Chu-fu (Vegetables and Insects) This scroll is the work of Jakuchu Ito (1716-1800). Fruits and vegetables appear one after another in the first half of the scroll, and small creatures such as insects and reptiles similarly appear in the second half as the scroll. Approximately 100 kinds of fruits and vegetables and 60 kinds of insects are depicted on the scroll. The scroll is just under 11 feet long. Excellent condition, no flaws, no defects.
