US M7 IMPERIAL BAYONET SCABBARD USM8A1 RIFLE TRENCH SHOTGUN READ THE DESCRIPTION

Description: You are buying a single (1 each) US M7 bayonet and scabbard for the rifle or Mossberg Model 590 trench shotgun. The bayonets and scabbards are marked as pictured. The bayonet is 11 ¾ inches with the blade being 6 5/8. The blades may have scratches, ware spots, and some small rust spots. The blades all look to the original factory edge. The grips are plastic. The hilt is marked US M7 Imperial. The scabbards are marked USM8A1. Some are painted with numbers on the bayonets and scabbards. Five of the scabbards are marked PWH and one is VIZ. According to Gary Cunningham these 6 bayonets are from the early contracts (1973 and 1976). They have the straight runout cut on the blade at the hilt. Imperial manufactured approximately 420,000 bayonets under the early contracts. Reference page 124 US Knife Bayonet & Scabbard.
