Description: Original Vintage Indian Arts and Crafts Board "Smoke Signals" Magazine Fall - Winter 1966 / #50-51 Alaska. This issue features Alaskan Native craftsmanship. The majority of information in this issue was provided by the IACB Alaska field representative George Fedoroff. My favorite part of this publication is the incredible bold designs of the Sculptures, Jewelry and Utilitarian Art Pieces. It also lists Native American Art Exhibitions upcoming in Arizona, California, Colorado, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee and Virginia. The quarterly SMOKE SIGNALS magazine was published by the US Department of the Interior from 1950 through 1968 "to promote programs and exhibitions and to raise awareness and appreciation of Native American arts." This 42 page publication has Government Printing Office Number: GPO 863-868. This magazine is in good vintage condition. The cover has "Out of Print" stamped on it as well as handwritten name Toni Nicholas. The inside front section has the signature Toni Schoffner at the top of the page, otherwise all the pages are clean other than typical paper aging. This is an amazing out of print find for the avid Alaska Native American Eskimo & Indian memorabilia collector! US destinations allow returns for up to 30 days after item delivery. NO INTERNATIONAL RETURNS.
