Description: St Ignatius de Loyola Single Decade Rosary patron of soldiers, Jesuits and educators Beautiful "pocket" rosary with a 7/8" nickel silver St Ignatius of Loyola medal and a 2" silver-toned Pardon crucifix. Both medal and crucifix were made in Italy; the chaplet was designed and handmade in the USA by me. All eleven beads are 8 mm. The ten Hail Mary beads are genuine Czech glass, faceted and fire-polished, in alternating ruby/crystal and dark aqua/crystal bicolors. The single Our Father bead genuine Tiger Eye. St Ignatius is the patron saint of Jesuits, soldiers, theologians, education and teachers. St Ignatius came from a noble Spanish family, was a page in the court of Ferdinand and Isabella, became a soldier, and when he was wounded by a cannonball, he experienced a conversion while recovering. St Ignatius first became a holy pilgrim, then studied theology, worked to convert Muslims, and eventually established the Jesuit order.The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper.
