We do not recommend using as a cutting board.Do not use with hot plates or dishes.We recommend to hand wash. Minor scratches can be easily polished as a maintenance if necessary. Extreme Scratches can be sanded and polished or a recoat of table top epoxy if necessary. Epoxy used is Alumilite Deep Pour and Alumilite Clear Cast as a finish coat. Both products are FDA compliant.
