Description: Up for bid is a two-piece steak carving set in the popular STRASBOURG pattern by Gorham, introduced in 1897. The knife is 10 3/8 inches long and the fork is 8 ¾ inches. The blade and tines are stainless steel with a mirror finish. The blade guards are unmarked, and the handles are hollow sterling. The knife is engraved “Edith Pitt Chace Award / 1957” on the handle. The steel parts are marked "STAINLESS", and the handles are marked “STERLING HANDLE" on the sides. The set comes with an original cardboard sheath for the knife blade. Condition on the set is very good. There is just light wear. A fine carving set!
