When the the Macedonian, Luciano, returns to good health, he and Iridé fall in love. But Praxiteles is not happy about it. He also loves Iridé, but has never had the courage to let her know. When Greek soldiers arrive at Praxiteles’ home to see and flirt with the now known beauty that is his model, Praxiteles gives it away that a Macedonian is being hidden in his house by the young woman, leading to a chase of the two lovers by Greek soldiers until Luciano is shot with an arrow and Iridé, now broken hearted, turns to a life of sex work.
