As you can see by the tin, this pair has been through the war. It was sold to me by the grandson of the original owner, who has passed down the legend of the fire-blood goggles. It was hard to get him to tell me the whole story, as he was choked up about it, almost like something didn't want him to tell me. According to him, these goggles led to a feeling of being filled with fire-like heat, that gave feelings of power and fear. His grandfather was discharged from the army for the things he did because of these googles, swearing that the goggles had more to them than anyone would believe. The knob, he said, would not turn back from red. It is believed that turning the knob back to clear may break the curse of this pair of goggles, taking away it's unique fire-blood properties. I am starting the auction for this pair much lower than normal because I have heard a very low growl-like hum coming from the tin, while I was trying to sleep. It stopped when I look over at the tin, but I feel something deep inside of my chest that makes me feel like something is looking back at me. Comes with certificate of value and copy of aged explorer's manual. Includes copy of aged 10 page manual for experiencing other realities. This pair is extra rare! This is an original set of vintage red quinoline dye of cyanin type goggles from the world war 2 era. True to the internet legend these have a knob on the front which can switch them between the red and yellow tint. True to the legend these were issued for a very short time to WW2 gunmen but not the pilots and quickly abandoned shortly thereafter. True to the legend they were originally designed to prevent incendiary rounds from ruining the gunman's natural night vision. Experiencer 1 wrote the 7 page document/guide that is included. This is some serious stuff!
